A Grand August Wedding
Julie and Shawn were probably two of the busiest people we have ever worked with. Both worked full time and were also getting Masters Degrees. However, they knew exactly what they wanted. The idea was "simplicity"! The Milton Hoosic Club is a lovely historic hall for a wedding reception. The grand ballroom can seat up to 200+ guests and many adjacent rooms for bars, buffets and sitting areas. There is also a wrought iron patio covered with ivy and stringed lights. Julie and Shawn decided to showcase their favorite drink at their reception: frozen mudslides. Guests were able to lounge around the patio and the lawn at cocktail tables, enjoying the fresh air and looking on as Julie and Shawn had their Photographs taken. They wanted their dinner to be simple and quick because they did not want to feel as though they and their guests would be held down at their tables for too long. Because Julie did not have too much time on her hands to sort out menu cards, she decided that all guests would enjoy the same meal; Grilled Sirloin with a Mushroom and Burgundy Sauce and Baked Stuffed Shrimp; Surf and Turf. Julie chose a delicate linen for her dining tables called Daltry Sage; a Sage green Linen inlaid with White and cream stems and petals. She also chose a Silver ballroom chair with Ivory pads to give the hall a regal touch. The reception was a very social event where most of the guests spent their evening visiting with Julie and Shawn at their Sweetheart table and also enjoying the evening on the patio sipping mudslides. It was such a relaxing and lovely evening, no one wanted to say Good Night! |
