The Margoscy Wedding

What do you do if it rains on your wedding day? We get that question quite a bit and this wedding is a perfect example of how we handle this situation...

Heidi and Kevin decided to have their ceremony and reception at the Commanders Mansion in Watertown; a gorgeous historical home with high ceilings and classical décor that also has a grape arbor used for wedding ceremonies.

The original plan was to have the ceremony in the Arbor and the reception in the house with Cocktails, Dinner and Dancing.

Mother Nature had another plan...rain.

We rallied with Heidi and Kevin and decided to have the ceremony in the front foyer of the house. Heidi came down the mahogany staircase to meet Kevin and the rain was a memory.

The couple wanted the menu to reflect Indian Summer with light fare but deep flavors. Because Heidi is Australian, we focused on having a broad assortment of fine wines from both Australia and New Zealand.

As the night went on, the weather outside was completely forgotten and Heidi and Kevin had a wonderful day!
